“Better Not Harder”, BMW’s key principle of working flexibly, sums up the core thinking behind the new workspace in the heart of Bangkok’s CBD. Orbit’s implementation of ABW (Activity Based Working) encompassed Strategy, Change Management, Interior and Environmental Design & Project Management.
The interview process with departmental heads gave us detailed insights and requirements; Change Champions were chosen to ensure everyone was engaged and informed from beginning to end; town hall meetings were used both to introduce ABW and present final designs.
Post occupancy feedback revealed that staff were working well with the Agile setup with collaboration showing a decisive increase and the previous lack of meeting rooms now a thing of the past.
Importantly, the space is future-proofed with built-in flexibility through a clean design program and neighbourhood branding using custom light fixtures with interchangeable graphics.
Listening carefully was key to creating this user-centric office, resulting in a dynamic yet balanced space.
