After 20 years at their previous headquarters, the new office move was an opportunity to rejuvenate and showcase how much the company had changed in that time. Just as Diageo creates amazing experiences for consumers the goal was to do the same in the workspace, celebrating life everyday, everywhere.
On entry, visitors are greeted with a stunning display of brands and a scale model of a copper still, handmade by Abercrombie, Diageo’s maker of all their stills. The ground floor has been planned to enable most external meetings to take place, either in dedicated rooms or in casual spaces like the restaurant or bar. This also ensures high security for the upper floors. The bar features a stunning copper bar with hoop lightsmade and engraved with the names of distilleries, also handmade by Abercrombie. The entire ground floor can also be used as an event space with back of house connecting the bar and restaurant.
To make the most of the light coming from the full height windows, all collaboration space was moved to the front. The upper work floors contain a complete mix of flexible work settings, from open collaboration to quiet spaces and phone booths. Custom designed wallpaper showing the history of diageo covers the staircase and meeting rooms while impactful brand images adds a final layer of colour and impact.
