One of Panama’s defining visual elements are the stacked walls of shipping containers that line the port and travel through the canal every day. This became a key design them as it also neatly represented the fact that Johnnie Walker was the first global brand to ship to over 26 countries way back in 1924 and Diageo continues to ship to every corner of the world.
Both 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional elements were built upon the use of layering blocks. Likewise the colour scheme was inspired from the primary colors of shipping containers. The final choice of red, white & blue, are also colors from the Panama national. The rhythm is repeated throughout from large scale applications right down to custom features like bar bottle displays.
