Ethiopian Airlines asked Orbit to upgrade and re-brand their ticketing offices worldwide on a rolling program of 5-10 offices a year, spread over five years. To accomplish this, lead design was developed for the pilot office. Working closely with the airline’s marketing team, a new design language was developed, with custom designed furniture, soft furnishings and fixtures which reflect the company’s expanding global presence, while retaining strong elements of its African roots.
The pilot project was in Beijing, completed in 2009, followed by regional ticketing offices in Khartoum, Libreville and Accra, as well as the airline’s central ticketing office at their hub in Addis Ababa.
