Copenhagen-based restaurateur Jesper Boelskifte asked us to design the environment and create an identity for his new venture.

A beautiful Fusion restaurant with a difference was the challenge for the Orbit London Office. Whilst the Bangkok office was responsible for the visual identity elements.

Umami is a blend of mainly Japanese cuisine enriched with French flair and ingredients. We did our own blending and used walnut, stone, silks and chandeliers to create a clean Japanese feel with the addition of a soupçon of French glamour.

Alongside the interior design, Orbit were commissioned to design and synergise the identity for the restaurant using menus, uniforms, match boxes, business cards, and bags. The result was equally as elegant visual identity items used within the restaurant.
