Located just beyond the Northwestern edge of Bangkok, Virgin Active at Central West Gate showcases the development of a new category of Life Centre fitness club targeted toward the fitness lifestyle of members outside of the city centre. The design draws on a bold and simple vocabulary of active forms and patterns inspired by the forces and flexibility of the human body in motion, and contrasts this with a gridded and luminous Active Grid framework in the beating heart of the space, where members and trainers collaborate to design their own creative fitness routines. Encircling this core, studios dedicated to boxing, high intensity dance, spinning and suspension yoga draw on fresh graphics, motivational lighting and fun patterns to immerse users in environments that enhance each activity.
